I think that in many ways they are better than us. They have higher family values. They have less dead beat dads & they know how to treat visitors.

No, I don't think it's got anything to do with how the country is - it's how the people are.
Poor Mexicans are lower than dirt to upper-class Mexican society. Also, it is an extremely corrupt society - so that's why there is so much crime - nothing is done about it, because there is no money in crime-fighting, only in bribery to allow the crime to occur.
So, it's not just the country, the climate, the weather - it's the whole system.
Also, the poor Mexicans - the natives, tribes, primarily - are told by the government and those in power that America is "Azatlan" - that it is theirs by right. Basically, Mexico doesn't want them, and Azatlan is their's by right - so go there, and you'll prosper. Hence, we have a huge exodus of poor Mexicans coming to America for welfare.
In America, it would never be that way. America could be bad, it could be worse, but it will never be something to run away from.

No I would not leave my own nation . I would find away to bring about reform in my own country,whether by civil unrest or peaceful means.I know that a solution to my own nations problems must come from its people and can not solved by running away.

a lot of these people here are full of it. the question wasnt "would u go there illegally?" it was "would u go there to get jobs?" stupids!
yeah i would go over there to get a job, especially if the us was like mexico. id get a better job n life would be a lot better!
