I think the best way, unfortunately, is just to wait. There are creams available out there that help reduce scarring... although you may consider that "medicine". Anyways, good luck!

First of all , it is very important that you visit your doctor, even if it has been a week since your burn.
Hot water burns are to be taken as seriously as any other burn.
Your physician can prescribe a antibiotic to prevent bacteria and infections to growth.
Also I higly recomend Sylvadene ( topical cream used in 2 and 3 degree burns)
Sylvadene is a sulfa antibiotic that prevents bacteria to growth. Be sure to mention your physician if you are allergic to sulfa.
In the meantime be sure to take analgesics to ease the pain, and remember to visit your doctor , the more you wait to treat correctly your burn the more chances it has to cause a scar.

Apply Aloe Vera. That will clear up any scarring it may have left. Herbalife has a very good Aloe Vera Gel.
