Depends on the size of your roast, but typically on low it's about 8-9 hours, on high about 4.

it usually takes at least 4 - 4 1/2 hours on high (depends on the size of the roast)

I give it four hours on high - eight hours on low. I don't think it necessarily matters how big the roast is. This much time should give you a "fall apart tender" roast.

on high you need probably another hour and a half. what i usually do is cook it on high for about 3 hours and turn it down to low for another 2 or so. when you are able to pick a small piece off with a fork and it just falls off it is good

You need to turn it down to low and cook it at least 2-4 more hours.

yeah...you should turn it down on low, cooking it on high will make the meat tough and it won't lend itself to as good of a taste... total low temp cook time is like 8-10 hours, high temp is around 6 or so

if it's on high you should cook it for atleast 5 hours, though I would turn it to low and let it cook another 6.

turn it down to low and leave it there as long as you want. The longer it simmesr, the more tender it becomes.
