help me clear some doubts i hv in some verses of the koran.

22:47,32:5 its written that allahs day is 1000yr but in 70:4 it says 50000yr?

39:73,41:30,57:21,79:41 says there's a garden of paradise but 18:31,22:23,35:33,78:32 it says gardens means many?

32:11,47:27 say angel will take the soul after death but 39:42 says allah will take the soul?

23:14 ignores the female egg which is equally imp?

18:86 says the sun sets in a muddy spring while its scientifically proven otherwise?

21:31,16:15,31:10 say mountains were made for protection against earthquakes but geology says movement of tectonic plates/earthquakes itself caused mountains to be formed,even if its so then y do so many earthquakes take place?

96:2 says man is made from clot of blood
21:30 says its water
15:26 says its clay
3:59 says dust
19:67 says its from nothing
11:61 says its earth
16:4 says sperm,so which one is it??

A few more are there but can u pl help with these??Im really confused as they appear contradictory.

HK3738 its mainly from Yusuf Ali's translation. I was told in this section that its the best. Anyway those what i mentioned appear a total contradiction.
Means no where near for anyone to interpret wrongly.

there are some people who bring out wrong meaning of this holy book. 1st of all you should know who is guiding u or from where you are getting the meaning of this verses. in Arabic there can be lots of meaning of a singal word. so the best way to know the meaning of theses verses is to follow sahih hadith or u should purchase this holy book translated by Dr. Zakir Naik. he is a man who challenges throughout the world that nobody can prove wrong a singal word or a singal teaching of QURAN. and it can never contradict its own meaning. you should see PEACE TV or QTV for better knowledge.

Well the day in Heaven is not of the same duration as that of the earth. It is not necessary that the day of earth should be the same as that what man chooses to be. Man knows what he sees, God knows even the Unseen. Thus not constrained to mean a strict 24-hour period. THE PROOF FOR THIS COMES FROM ANOTHER SURAH –

30. Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

...A day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning.

Clearly note – “a day in sight” – and all the human sight can bear is a fraction of a second. I think u must know that since u have been to school.

He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, ON A DAY, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning.

Clearly, Verse 70:4 discusses the DAY OF RESURRECTION AND DAY OF JUDGEMENT, a special Day, a specific Day the length of which will be 50,000 years, a Day that has not come yet, a Day after which there will be no night [22:55], a Day that will not come but after this universe is destroyed and another universe is created, {On the Day WHEN THE EARTH will be changed to another earth and so will be the heavens}; [14:48].
"please NOTE : NO MENTION OF A DAY OF THY LORD"

How can this Verse, which does not mention the words, “A day with your Lord is 50,000 years long”, CONTRADICT Verse 22:47, which states that, “A day with the Lord is 1,000 years long”?

Also this can be further PROVED by a Hadith -- Imam Muslim Ibn al-`Hajjaj reported that Abu Hurairah, the Prophet’s companion, said that Allah's Messenger, peace be upon him, said, “If any owner of gold or silver does not pay what is due on him (obligatory charity), when the Day of Resurrection would come, plates of fire would be beaten out for him; these would then be heated in the fire of Hell and his sides, forehead and back would be cauterized with them. Whenever these cool down, (the process is) repeated during a Day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years.”

ANGELS OF GOD.?.
there are many angels -- angels of higher hierchy and angels of lower hierchy and that depends on their DUTIES. ANGELS ARE CREATED BY THE "NUR" or LIGHT OF GOD. also they have no will of their own, they always OBEY GOD and HIS COMMAND. the ANGEL OF DEATH or IZRAEEL ALAY SALAAM -- will be sent to the person whose life is to be taken. verily it is ALLAH/GOD who DECIDES WHOSE,WHEN AND HOW LIFE SHOULD BE TAKEN -- BUT GOD SENDS HIS ANGELS TO TAKE THE LIFE. ialso THERE ARE ANGEL(S) WHO COME TO THE PERSON CONCERNED.

ANGEL IZRAEELa.s will TAKE THE LLIFE AWAY, but the 2 other angels that will come will bring the BOOK OF DEEDS ALONG WITH THEM. this is like a determination -- to the day of Questioning after burial (when the people have walked away 40 steps away from the grave.)

also there is a verse which says that "Allah knows what the Angels do not know and that all souls will return to Him one day" -- since u are an expert in Quran u must be knowing this Surah and verse too.

IMPORTANCE OF A EGG/OVA?
now actually in many countries even today -- a woman is blamed for giving birth to a female child. why even today there are countries where female infanticide is prevalent. actually what this verse implies is-- A MAN IS RESPONISBLE FOR THE SEX OF THE BABY, AND WOMEN SHOULDNT BE BLAMED FOR IT. the verse doesnt speaks -- about the sperm determining the sex of the baby, and we all know that the Ova is a part of the mother but it is Father's sperm that is foreign to a mother. A woman is XX while the man is XY -- and he is the determinant and foreign entity.

14 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators!

the proof that man and women were created and important comes from this, sorry to say but Islam holds WOMEN in high esteem and honor.

That HE did create In pairs---male and female, From a seed when lodged (In its place) QUR'AN 53:45-46.
in its place? WHERE? IN THE OVA IN THE WOMB.

ALSO NOTE -- "Verily WE created Man from a drop Of mingled sperm" -- [AL-QUR'AN 76:2]
MAN -- FROM THE SPERM --saying that THE ROLE OF THE SPERM IS TO DETERMINE THE SEX OF THE BABY.

"Man WE did create From a quintessence (of clay); Then WE PLACED HIM As ( a drop of) sperm IN A PLACE OF REST, firmly fixed; Then WE made the sperm Into a clot of congealed blood; Then of that clot WE made A (foetus) lump; then WE Made out of that lump Bones and clothed the bones With flesh; then WE developed Out of it another creature. So blessed be ALLAH, The Best to create!"

NOTE -- PLACED SPERM IN PLACE OF REST -- WHICH IS THE PLACE OF REST FOR A SPERM? WITHOUT A DOUBT THE OVA.

also note --"HE makes you, In the wombs of your mothers, In stages, one after another, In three veils of darkness."
CREATED WHERE? --IN UR MOTHERS.

MUDDY SPRING?
Verse 18:86:
Proofs that "aayn" MEANS spring or lake or a body of water.
Proofs that "aayn" DOESNT MEAN hole or open space.
"taghrubu" means to go away or DISSAPPEAR.

ALSO, 18:90: MatliAAa VS mashriq clearly prove that Noble Verse 18:90 never declared that Dhul-Qarnayn reached the ends of the earth. there is No mention of Aayn (spring) or Hufra (hole or pit) in this Verse.

Until, when he reached ("balagha".....it doesn't mean literal arrival. See Noble Verses 6:19, 12:22, 18:61, 18:86, 18:90, 18:93, 24:59, 28:14, 37:102, 46:15 in the next section below. "adraka" or "yudrik" mean literal arrival or reaching ) the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: 'O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness.'

THIS IS THE VERSE 18:86
taghrubu" means to go away or DISSAPPEAR:

"Until, when he reached the setting of the sun (ghuroob al-shams), he found it set (taghrubu) in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness." (The Noble Quran, 18:86)"

"taghrubu" in Arabic is derived from the root word "ghuroob", which has one literal meaning which is "to go away" or "to leave" or "to disappear". "gharb" means "west". "taghrubu" does literally mean to "going away" or "DISSAPPEARING", and doesn't necessarily have to be in the direction of the west.
"Therefore be patient with what they say, and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord, before the rising (tulooAAi) of the sun, and before its setting; yea, celebrate them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy. (The Noble Quran, 20:130)"

"Bear, then, with patience, all that they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising (tulooAAi) of the sun and before (its) setting (alghuroobi). (The Noble Quran, 50:39)"

(when one stands by the beach one sees the sun setting and dissappearing in the water?.)

MOUNTAINS ARE FIRM?
yes they are firm and Qu'ran does say that.
The mountains, like pegs, have deep roots embedded in the ground. (Anatomy of the Earth, Cailleux, p. 220)
Allah Almighty said: "Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs? (The Noble Quran, 78:6-7)"
He the Almighty also said: "And He has set firm mountains in the earth so it would not shake with you....(The Noble Quran, 16:15)"

EACH MOUNTAIN HAS BEEN ATTACHED firm as a peg but it is beneath the pegs (many kms beneath the pegs, due to the intense heat of the core of the earth. and i am sure even u will agree that there is a thin line that DIFFERENTIATES THE MOUNTAINS AND COOL AREAS UNAFFECTED BY MANTLE AND THEY ARE SEPERATED BY THE VERY HOT MOLTEN REGIONS.) i think u can see this in any Atlas or Geography book that there is a THIN LINE THAT SEPERATES THE 2 LAYERS OF EARTH -- a little research goes a long way.

ALSO ASK URSELF A QUESTION -- ISNT MAN RESPONSIBLE too by conducting NUCLEAR RESEARCH AND TESTING OF MISSILES TO WEAPONS, ISNT MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF NATURE?. Natural Catastrophe's like Earthquakes and Volcanos -- are the Trick Nature has up her sleeve when she sees man hellbent on destroying her.

COMPONENTS OF THE BODY/SPERM?
ever heard of Protoplasm, Plasma, Cytoplasm? ever know the components of blood? do u know the components found in Sperm? please buy urself a good book on Embryology and Cytology and read it, all ur misconceptions about the last question will be cleared. and i dont say this as a muslim -- but as a Junior Research Scientists/Faculty of Life Sciences -- to see people who do not know what their bodies are made of -- it is really sad. we are just not flesh and bones -- please buy ur self a book of biochemistry and start reading all the reactions and also a good book on Nutrition and Physilogy will really help u -- in gaining knowledge about our bodies. Scientists have proved that the Qu'ran was right in every aspect of Nutrition, Physiology and Embryology.
