ok sounds stupid but hes in lower 6th form i really like him but i have never spoke to him. I get on really wel with a girl i thik he likes but what do i talk about ?

Find out if you have anything in common. Does he like a sports team that you also like? Ask him how he thinks they do this year/next season. Do you share a class? Ask him a question about the homework.
Or, you can just compliment him on his shirt/jacket/shoes and ask him where he got them. Tell him you have a brother/cousin/friend with an upcoming birthday, and you'd like to get the same item for him.
If he's interested in you, he'll be sure to keep the conversation going.

If you find it scary to start a conversation with this guy, how about opening up by talking about a recent event; something which might have taken place locally, nationally or internationally.
But don't ever discuss school work as this may put him off.

just walk over and be friendly, be like hi my name is blah blah. what s your name? ive been seeing you around and i never got the chance to say hi. well i will see you later. just start off like that and everyday say hey how you doin and make her a good friend so a little later yall can start really talking.
