XP can read FAT32 or NTFS. NTFS will allow you to use advanced features like securing your folders (Pro edition)

To convert to NTFS use the following steps
1. Click Start > Run
2. Type CMD in the run field then click OK
3. type "convert C: /FS:NTFS" (without the quotes)
4. Restart your computer and the conversion will take place.

It should take about 10 minutes to do the entire drive. If you have more then one drive replace the C: with the other drive letters.

Good luck!

There at the instant are not any utilities to transform fats to NTFS. you're amazing, the main uncomplicated reason to transform fats to NTFS is while a device became into initially put in on fats (ninety 8/determination on 2000) and now you want to place in XP, or purely convert for extra appropriate reliability. XP can study fats/fat32 purely fantastic.
