Got an IM from ex last night, she told me that she wasnt seeing my best friend at all,she made it up to keep distance and get some time.i told her how i felt, that by telling her i loved her scared her off,she said i didnt.she said she wasnt looking for anything or anyone right now, that she still feels weird that she has to sort herself out b4 getting into anything(poss with me dont know) and that she was sorry 4 messing me about and asked if we could still b friends, i nivver said nething, she told me exactly how she felt, and that i understood and would give her the time she needs to come round,to know what she wants, she asked if i would fone her as she would "still be there waiting on me", what do i do fone her, or wait till she wants to fone me,i told her that no matter what her decision would be that i would still be her friend and still be there if she needed anything or just to chat, i would take her back,if i did, ill tell her that i dont want mind games. Cheers

You know what you want, she doesn't. What was she thinking saying she was seeing your best friend? I smell a rat here. That's a pretty twisted lie to make up. Best leave her to come after you. There are other women out there for you, okay? You are being too understanding in this situation.

If a man had said he was seeing my best friend, then said it was a lie, then said he needed to sort himself out, but he would be waiting for me even though he wasn't with me, I would think to myself 'You're a liar, and you're confused and you obviously don't want me enough right now to be with me. Plenty more fish in the sea. See you round.' No calls.

Mind games are just emotional turmoil. You deserve better than this. Believe it.

You are in a serious mind game already!!!

If she's not jumping into your arms then she is just trying to figure out if you are good enough to settle for.

Don't phone her give her the gift of missing you, then she might even want you more.

Go have fun and keep busy. If she calls invite her into your life, but don't be her door mat.

She will want you because you are fun and confident for who you are and not some whimp who puts her back together so she can find some one else. Your choice be her "Safety Blanket" or "Boyfriend".

Sounds like the "it's not you, it's me" line.
