"To suggest that ''real'' scientist are evolutionist and creationist are not, is simple minded. Evolution is being challenged because it must be challenged in order to reveal the exactness of interpretation, and belief! Since the Piltdown, the melt down of belief and credibility declined. Dogmatism will become the weapon of self destruction for the lunatics of the ridiculous conclusions of asinine atheists that will do anything to construct the methodology of teaching future generations humanistic values. Darwin was not a scientist. Yet, he is credible? Of course he was. He fits your useless diatribe which I admit to being guilty, in my message to you. All are ignorant except the believers of evolution? The masses agree without knowledge and submit to arrogance of the ''educated.'' I'm educated and also a former evolutionist. Many of us are and we certainly will not stand by and allow the scorn by the evolutionist to continue."

Above is a quote I found from a Christian frustrated with what she calls "Atheist Propaganda." Do you think in the modern world with all our computers and internet there is a literal war of information to promote differing agendas? If so, how do we find truth in today's world?

Excellent question! Yes!! There is an information war going on but it is not in the halls of the universities. There, as said above, virtually everyone knowns evolution to be fact, from years of study of the vast scientific evidence. Scientists (myself included) have their heads down doing research.
Outside, there is a massive propaganga campaign under way by 'creationists'. A campaign which doesn't respect the rules of scientific debate that we are used to, a campaign which doesn't just occasionally slip in to, but which is in large part BASED on methods such as quote-mining, straw-man argument debunking, smooth logical fallacies, constant re-stating of disproven evidence, unfounded statements, repetition, ridicule, rumour, deception - propaganda.
Scientists - 'evolutionists' - are late to the war and most have little time or resources for it. We are constrained by our truthful scientific style, by the very weight of evidence that we possess, and the fact that concepts and understandings which we take for granted, are foreign to many people. We are used to scientific debate among ourselves and political debate is foreign to us.
How to find the truth? I don't know. Many many many hours of weighing up both sides with an open mind. And, like a journalist, historian or scientist, never taking a second hand quote as factual, but following it up to the source. Hopefully if you seek the truth you will find it. Good luck.

I seriously doubt she was ever someone who accepted the evidence of evolution.
The way to find the truth is to look for evidence and listen to your own common sense.
What is the evidence that we just appeared one day, formed from mud?
You can look at the effects of antibiotics on viruses and find PROOF of evolution. Why would evolution happen in simpler life and not in more complex life?
We are still young as a species and have not been trying to use science to explain things as long as we have used superstition. Of course the superstitions sound more valid to people who want simple answers to complex questions but that doesn’t make it correct or even rational.
Changing beliefs that worked for thousands of years will take time and be upsetting ……….but it WILL happen or the superstitions (and the people that refuse to accept facts) will destroy our civilization in their misguided attempt to suppress evidence that invalidates the stories handed down by people who had no concept of how the world truly worked from a mechanical perspective.

There is no debate. Evolution is accepted by every reasonable scientist. The few scientists who don't accept evolution or modify it with some form of intelligent guidance (Michael Behe) keep everyone else honest and in line.
I'm a former Mensa member too, but that doesn't qualify me to make blanket statements about anything, by the way, so take it with a grain of salt.

Out of all the scientists in related fields, 0.14% don't believe in evolution. It would be safe to make the generalization that scientists believe in evolution. So there is no information war.

If you are blinded by your faith in a 2000 year old book then I'm sorry.
I don't believe any "evolutionist" is telling you not to worship. Perhaps your missing the message...Keep your religion out of classrooms and politics.

In examining what we know, it does not lead incontrovertibly to a particular truth. Therefore evolutionism and creationism are both orders of Faith based on conclusions interpretted but not proven by facts.
Two bones look similar, one older, one younger. Conclusion 1: Younger bone evolved from older bone. Conclusion 2: Creator of older bone created revised model in younger bone. Conclusion 3: it's just a coincidence that those two bones look a like, everything is random. Conclusion 4: Nothing exists. The bones aren't real.
Which conclusion is true? The answer is all of them have elements of truth, but in their limitations they do not contain all the truth, therefore they are all inconclusive.
:)
We strive to know that which can not be known. Yet.
And to choose sides is to close your mind and to deny the alternatives.
It is faith, no matter which side you choose.
The real conclusion: We Do Not Know. But we believe.

Tell me about it. Most people I know believe in evolution just because thats what they were taught. They NEVER have studied anything about it for themselves. I am a member of Mensa, (high IQ), I study everything for myself. I have had several on line debates with so called "intellectuals" in the evolutionary camp. The only recourse they have is just to resort to calling everyone who disagrees with them, stupid, religious, brainwashed idiots. You see they can't fight you with science, only name calling. True hard science is not usually debated is it? That alone is reason for people to look into it for themselves. You don't see people debating mathematics, gravity, electricity, etc. Darwin did not have the benefit of our modern knowledge of Genetics and DNA. If he did , he would have abandoned his theory.
