Why would he not think of another way of proving his point, besides putting temptation infront of Adam and Eve and then having to sacrifice his own son to prove that he is the one that deserves to be served and that humans can not govern themselves without his wisdom and guidance. That doesnt seem very wise or loving, and now we all suffer such cruelity's. Where's the love, I cant even kill a bug without feeling bad...he killed his own son and we all basically live in Hell right now. There had to be another way....he's God right. He could have been a bit more caring when making this decision dont you think?

The Christian mythology certainly doesn't make much sense, does it... Were you to change the title "God" to "Bob", a psychologist would probably find a paranoid, egomaniacal, schizophrenic with sadistic tendencies and a deep need for love.

Aside from the atheistical bent of most of the answers you seem to be getting, the answer to your question is "free will". This is the part of us that God created in his image. The simple ability we have to decide for ourselves what we are going to do. Without free will we are nothing more than animals driven by our primal urges and base instinct for survival. So yes He could certainly have done things differently. He could have made us all sheep, no one different, no one unique, and able only to go through each day with no knowledge beyond our bellies and the need to reproduce. In order to have fully thinking and sentient people you must have free will and with that comes the ability, rightly or wrongly, to choose what you believe and how you behave. It is that which makes us other than animals, though people sometimes choose to behave no better than animals anyway.

God created mankind to love and for us to love Him back. He did not make us like robots. He gave us free will to love Him or not. That's why Adam and Eve were given a choice to obey or not to obey concerning the knowledge of good and evil.

That is what the fruit was all about. It came from the tree which could give them this knowledge. They chose not to obey and therefore, when they made the choice to eat the fruit, they became sinful that is to say that they then had a sinful nature and became separated from God. This sinful nature was passed down to us too. None of us are without sin.

God sacrificed His Son because Jesus is God. He is God's Word made flesh. Jesus came to the earth to live, suffer beatings, death on the cross, and to live again, to bridge the separation for us, in order to bring us back to God.

Jesus had no sin therefore, Jesus' blood is the sacrifice that God had prepared and requires to bring us back to Him. There is no other way to God but, through Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Jesus is no longer dead. The wonderful news is that He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords now.

Isaiah 14:12, Is about Lucifer (Satan) being cast down to the earth by God. Satan was in Heaven with God but, became jealous of God and wanted to take His place.

Let me ask you something. If you were made with no ability to choose between right and wrong, what would you be? Not human. You'd be a pre-programmed robot. God gave a gift to Adam and Eve, the ability to think and to choose. They chose to disobey.

God didn't have to give His son to buy back our souls from this fallen world. But He did. Please believe what scripture tells you, that He loves you so much He allowed Jesus to die on a cross to pay for your sins.

God is the perfection of wisdom and love, God is love. I pray that you can come to see these things from a different perspective, and rejoice that we can be reconciled to God because of what Jesus did on the cross for us.

He told them not to, end of story. what happened happened, don't make such a big deal.
He had to. Even a completely good person can only die for themselves, because they carry the sin from ancestry.
His Son didn't have a human father, so He wasn't normal. He was human, but not the same, because He was also God.
There's a lot of stuff we don't get, but some of it is too complicated even for us humans to get.

Perhaps the answer to your question is this:

Stop questioning God's reason. This is the way he chose for the world to gain sin AND salvation. Just worry about how you are going to live your life.

I can probably answer your question, but I just don't have the time or the proper resources with me to make sure I'm right. I don't want to give a false answer.

You're obviously single and don't have a child.

On the day that child plays in front of you and BOLTS for street, you get up, run after them, yell and possible SPANK.

A friend of mine has an adopted son. This boy steals from his other brother. He steals from his father. He takes stuff and sells it on the street for drug money, fun money, aracade money. He was put in juivinlle hall by the police for 3 years. My friend then took him to Texas and had him confined their by Parential confienment because a 16-18 year old cannot petition for immancipation in Texas.

At what point do you become intolerant with that child, whose ACTIONS totally devoured the $50,000 college fund my friend had aside for him in fines, bail, special schools, etc.

I keep wondering if I'll hear my friend was bludgeoned to death in his sleep by the boy.

My friend, whose an Agnostic Jew, is cutting this kid a lot of slack.

God, obvisouly, follow the rule

Fool me once, shame on you

Fool me twice, shame on me.

Parents make those choice and parents ARE supposed to be in control of their kids or do you want some SOCIAL WORKER telling you how you are supposed to raise your children!

Who made hell for my friends adopted son. The birth parents BAD GENES, do parents, might YOU have BAD GENES. He lived in a good house. He had toys. Mother and Father who loved him. Dogs. He had a college fund. If he wanted an Xbox his dad would eventually get it for him.

What the KID, on his OWN wanted to do was hang out with the gagstas at 3am with a bottle of booze and a gun! At the age of 15!

That was this kids free will choice of fun or was it God's Predestination or are the GENES of some parents SO DEFECTIVE we must make SOME ABORTIONS MANDITORY to keep these people out of society and if it's YOUR GENES and YOUR KID WE DECLARE ARE WRONG AND MUST BE ABORTED will argue with us and science!

There's Adam, now what do you do!

You better NEVER spank your kid for eating all the cake destined for desert when you weren't looking

You better NEVER spank your kid when they take the rent money out of your purse and spend it on a good time

Otherwise YOU justify GOD

By questioning the way God has gone about His business, you have made yourself His judge.

God did not want robots that He could wind up everyday and say "I love you." When there is no choice in the matter, it's not really love.

The temptation in the Garden was precisely what was needed, so that there would be a genuine choice. Of course, ever since, we've regretted our choice. (Well, many of us have, others revel in it.)

Why? So you can blame your mistakes on someone else? His Son walked the earth too--as a man--just like us--he was tried and tested by Satan and passed--he was a toddler, a teenager, and an adult--he walked the walk---FOR YOU!!!! Why wouldn't you want to lay down your life for him? What are you really giving up anyway--not anything that's good for you!

Where's the love? God made a way for mankind to yet be reconciled to Him. Not only that, the reconciliation is a free gift offered to all. The gift is Jesus Christ.
