I just did what I get angry at others for doing. I answered a question that was not directed at me. I am sorry.

I have often answers specifically directed at people. If you are going to do so, be courteous and do three things:

1. Identify the fact you are not 'one of them'.
2. State on what basis you are answering their question -- if it's a 'Muslim Only' question, your basis needs to be the Quran or the interpretations or laws thereof. If it's a Christian only question, your basis needs to be the new testament.
3. Remain polite, above all else, and strive to answer AS IF YOU WERE 'one of them', even if you believe otherwise.

I remember a while back, a muslim young lady had a question about taking something bought by her boyfriend with money he had stolen. I got best answer because I admited I was not muslim, had read the Quran though, and respectfully mentioned the aspects of islam that were pertinant to her situation.

That's nothing to be ashamed of, that's genuine honesty.

Yep.

In Spite of My Careless Tongue
Listen to my heart and not to my words
Because my words cannot say what I feel!
Things spoken cut like flailing, hacking swords,
Like brutish thugs, our friendship to steal.
For lack of words my pent up heart voice groans,
Without a way for the truth to reveal,
Doors closing; Lost is the word which atones.
Better not speak, lame diction to conceal.
Come back! Awful words return to your home!
Affect no ears of persons, just be still!
The friend I love, contempt my words have shown,
With no excuse! Forgive my thoughtless zeal?
Love me! Not just for the way I love you,
But in spite of my careless tongue too.
