To "covet" means to desire. Desiring what someone else wants can lead to jealousy and eventually anger. We then would do stupid things to either get what we want or see the neighbor lose what he/she has. Makes sense that this can lead to doing un-christian like things.
In other words, be satisfied with what you have. If you want something, do it for the right reasons, not because someone else has it. You're life will be more pleasant because of it.

This question is completely incoherant - you need help from an English teacher first - then attend to any remaining spiritual worries.

You can take the Lords word literally if you like - if your neighbour has a great *** then covet it you dirty scoundrel - but the figurative interpretation seems to cover more bases.

It just means wanting what you've got. I tend to look at this meaning credit card debt. Even way back when the Bible was warning us of this serious problem. The Jesus is so wise.

Yet another reason I'm not Christian--people aren't property, not even us women.

covet means that you want what your neighbor has and resent that he has it.

I don't understand what you're asking about land.
