I've been to churches as a guest where I do not agree with what they believe. But it is their right to believe it, so I don't say anything about it, just be polite.

Depends on the person and the circumstances.

I declined one friend because she was way too active in converting people.

I accepted from another because she's way out there and it's not your usual ho-hum and she doesn't care if I don't subscribe or not. She just wants me to experience it (I'm white, she's white, it's a black Apostiolic Pentacostal church -- see what I mean by way out there -- I was raised Lutheran, so this will be a unique expereince).

I went to a friend's Bar Mitzvah. I performed music at Catholic weddings. I peformed as a session player in a Christian production from a mainstream Protestant faith in North Hollywood.

I'd probably decline. Why waste a precious day when I can be in God's true word. When my Dad was alive, I visisted his church. The pastor talked more about what TIME magazine had to say than what the bible said. A more oppressive time I've never had...it left me in tears often, he steered his congregation into confusion more than I've ever seen. By the grace of God, my father was saved by his confession to Jesus four days before he died. He didn't learn it from that church he attended!

I'm atheist, and I have spent my share of time in my friend's churches. I don't go to worship services with them. However, if there is something going on that involves their kids or other family members personally, such as plays, Bible School, etc. then I will attend if invited.

Thats a hard one as I would like people to come to church with me sometimes. I guess it depends on what faith you currently have , or if you are uncertain. If its something you find patently offensive to your beliefs, then you probably shouldnt go, but If you are curious and don't feel that you will be unduly influenced, then you should go. I think if you pray about it , you will feel if its right for you or not.

It depends--what kind of church? I will only go to a Bible preaching church where the service is led by the Holy Spirit. Unless of course it's a wedding or funeral for someone close to me.

I would not go because there is only one reason why they would ask that and that would be because they thought the one you were going to was wrong and that is kind of offensive to me. I would not get angry but, I would refuse. Also people today are so intent on not causing insult to other people but, they do not realize that in doing that sometimes they are hurting God's feelings. Yes he does have feelings (...and Jesus wept)

I went with my girlfriend who is Catholic. There was no reason form me not to go and I knew it would make her happy. I'm not afraid of walking into a mosque or a temple or a church. It's all part of the human experience.

depends on your feelings toward the person asking, how much it means for you to go with them...if you value your relationship with the person IT might be worth considering..go with your heart...if the church represents something that goes against a strong personal belief or conviction stick to your belief, however keeping an open mind is often an enlightening experience...for all involved

If I were a Christian and they invited me to a mosque, I would say no. Or a scientology clinic. Or a Mormon church. Or a wiccan meeting. Or a Bhuddist temple. Otherwise, OK.
