Sure. Some guess like women with a little more something to hold. If you look at Renaissance paintings the norm was women with a little meat on them than we are used to nowadays.
You shouldn't have to many hangs about your looks it works against you when you're trying to meet someone. That's not to say to let yourself go and walk around in a trach suit all the time.
Spend a little time on making yourself look and feel good and the guys will slowly gravitate to you.

Yes. They're more attractive to me, for one. Skinny girls are disgusting, and I especially hate ones with a tan. Curvy and fair-skinned is what I go for.

there are plenty of chubby chasers out there.
Personally, I think they're crazy, but they do provide an excellent public service, and they're not hurting anyone, so I think its a good thing.
