Hard one to answer if you dont know the age of item. but it seems to me that you should return to supplier if possible or call someone who knows as plasma is quite new on market and if it is near a heat source you will have problems with a green screen

i am assuming you just got it and it didn't used to work fine because then you would know your setup is fine and the tv broke.
First plug in an S-video source.
this is the easiest because there is only one wire.
Get out the manual and find where you adjust the picture.
My TV has so many settings, yours is probably just not set up right.
There should be a menu for setup and then something to do with picture. Make sure you are set for s-video. When you can get this working, then try the component video. Make sure the wires are hooked up properly. they are confusing sometimes because one component may label them differently. Here are the labels Y, B-Y, R-Y, or alternatively Y, Pb, Pr, or Y, Cb, Cr. Use this as a guide Y is always Y, B-Y = Pb = Cb, R-Y = Pr = Cr. Hope this helps.

check your RGB and s-video settings, make sure you are using a quality scart (not those dodgy black angled ones)
