GNC has a supplement called "Nourishair" that makes the hair grow faster, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.
Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.
If you take only Biotin [sometimes known as "vitamin H"] alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourishair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results

Hi Dear
You can have your hair very healthy and growing by just eating properly. you dont have to use any of the expensive products or techniques. This is clinically proven that if you have proper diet which is full of nutrients and proteins, it will help your hair grow more quickly. usually all these products available for hairs are for cleaning them and not for growing them and this is a greatest misconception in our mind that products help our hairs to grow more but they never do this.
so start eating properly you are going to love your hair.
take care!!!

Use good shampoo and conditioner
Don't brush your hair when it's wet
Use a deep conditioner once a week
Shower at nite, use a gel/conditioner when you get out of the shower (i use sunsilk hydratherapy) then use a wide tooth comb to detangle and then put it in a braid before you go to sleep. It should still be slightly damp in the morning too, so it won't be so hard to style.
Try not to brush your hair too much... if it seems tangly, use your fingers or a wide tooth comb... that way you wont' get too much breakage or split ends
hope it helps, i have hair down to my waist and i do these things, so i know they work! :)

Try to use the least amount of gels...because gels have a lot of alcohol...and that dries out your hair...and gives you split ends...
Try sticking with creams, greases and oils...
Samy products have no alcohol...but it's still healthier to use things like leave in conditioners...
And I've heard oily hair grows faster...so I heard that leaving some grease in your hair, and massaging your scalp once in a while makes hair grow faster.

You can buy protein hair products that you apply after shampooing but before conditioning. It will keep the hair strong and it will nourish the roots which will make your hair grow faster.

You should be thinking about the food you eat. I hear that iron helps your hair grow tremendously. A friend of mine even takes prenatal vitamins (she's not pregnant) and her hair grew so much! She was having radiation therapy so much of her hair fell out, and the iron supplements helped it grow back in a quickness.

I've heard eating Jello or anything else with gelatin in it helps your hair and nails grow.
