It's not me I'm talking about, it's just a statement on a website I found.

Hmmm...that's a tough one since it would depend on the situation. If he has a close girl-friend who helps him deal with problems he's having with me, I wouldn't care. I'm not going to judge him for having a girl as his best friend and I have no right to demand to know everything they talk about. Now if they're discussing how wonderful they would be as a couple and how much they wish I were dead...yeah, that would be cheating.

NO I don't.

Cheating is defined as an act of deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others. Cheating implies the breaking of rules. The term "cheating" is less applicable to the breaking of laws, as illegal activities are referred to by specific legal terminology such as fraud or corruption. Cheating is a primordial economic act: getting more for less, often used when referring to marital infidelity.

With regard to human relationships, couples may expect sexual monogamy of each other. If so, then cheating commonly refers to forms of infidelity, particularly adultery.

Many people consider cheating to be any violation of the mutually agreed-upon rules or boundaries of a relationship, which may or may not include sexual monogamy. For example, in some polyamorous relationships, the concepts of commitment and fidelity do not necessarily hinge on complete sexual or emotional monogamy. Whether polyamorous or monogamous, the boundaries to which people agree vary widely, and sometimes these boundaries evolve within each relationship.

For me personally cheating is anytime anyone in a committed relationship (in which the ol I'm only sleeping with you converstation has happened) puts something inside of another person for sexual pleasure.

I wouldn't say it is cheating but it does boil down to it becoming a trust issue. If he didn't want you to know what he said to this girl, then it could lead to cheating which is more of a physical act. It could be a form of emotional cheating if he is confiding in her. You need to ask him what was said and why he feels he couldn't tell you.

I dont agree with that statement, however it depends on what you do or say to another girl. If it is something that you would not say in front of me normally or want me to see on an everyday basis- then you could easily be considered an asshole.

Yes I agree its cheating if you cant tell the person about it. The trick is to find someone you can tell about it without them thinking your cheating.

I don't think it's considered cheating. It might be that you look into things too much. He doesn't want you to know about the conversation because he doesn't want you to jump to any conclusions.

I know because I've been there.

At first i thought 'hell yeah'! and then after i think about it, i joke around with guys at work and it's not cheating, but i wouldn't tell my boyfriend everything that is said because it might get taken out of context.

No - I dont agree except in the case of you telling your girl-friends about having an affair with another man. I can freely choose what I want to say and dont say to my girlfriends. Whether or not I want to tell him is up to me. which i do most of the time.

I dont know if its necessarily cheating, but its definitely WRONG. It could just be that he hangs out with a girl that he has feelings for. Nothing might have happened, but if he has feelings and is afraid to tell you, that should be a sign to him that something is wrong.
