Why can´t I run SimCity 3000 Unlimited on my XP Home PC?

When I try to install, I get a "unable to run 16 bit subsystem" message.

windows xp is based on the NT kernel

right click on your disc icon and click open
then right click on install.exe then click properties on that popup menu. then click on the compatibility tab and set compatibility level to either windows 95 or windows 98
if that doesn't work i can't help you

Its an old game and wasnt designed to run on xp! You might try the game compatibility wizard in xp tho.
