I always put the toast in the toaster, then spread butter on it, and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on.
If you have no toaster, you could bake it, but it wouldn't take long, so you'd have to watch it. Probably on 350 .. maybe 5 minutes, depending on your oven. It wouldn't be any different than putting garlic toast in the oven.

Several ways to make Cinnamon Toast:
Toast the bread in a toaster, spread on butter, coat with sugar and then sprinkle on cinnamon. Do all this while toast is still hot. Eat immediately with glass of cold milk.
Assemble butter, sugar and Cinnamon on the bread and bake. Not the best way to do it. Bread tends to be soggy.
Place butter, sugar and cinnamon on the bread and broil it. This causes the sugar to melt also and then it hardens to a crispy glaze. This is pretty good too.
The application of sugar is critical !
I take the buttered toast or bread and pour sugar on the slice while it's tilted over the sink. This totally coats the bread and makes for an excellent Cinnamon Toast.
By the way, Cinnamon is a spice that has beneficial effects for humans and disease control. Eat up !

I've tried toasting the bread first & didn't like it that way. To me it's best if you butter the bread & then sprinkle on cinnamon & sugar and broil it for a few minutes. Keep a close eye on it because it will burn fast.

Broil, its so much faster and gives a good crunch to the toast. You might mix your sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle over the bread that was first coated with butter.

set yr toaster over or regular over to broil. then get the bread, spead some butter on it, then sprinkle sugar over that, then sprinkle cinnamon over the sugar. then put it in the preheated oven and watch over it. when the bread starts to turn brown at the corners, take it out and enjoy.
some people combine the sugar and cinnamon, but i find that's too much sugar.

I say bake it. Baking it seals in the flavor. But broiling it makes the sugar crunchy and some like that.

You just put your bread in the toaster. Butter your bread and add a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Very Easy.

What are you talking about? You put it in a frying pan with that butter and it keeps it from sticking and the sugar crystalizes. Then you flip it. If you are an old person or have no job so you have unlimited free time then feel free to preheat your broiler to 400 degrees but it seems like a waste of time in today's hyperfast society.
