My dad died when i was 3, and my mom rased my sister and I all by herself. Now that i have a good job i try to give my mom all my money. I get the thing i need, but not the things i want. I dont have much money as it is, but would it be wrong to take myself out, or get my gf something nice, or even buy my-self a new movie, or should i just keep giving all my money to my mom. Is it bad to give my money to my mom?

I think it's great that you're taking care of your mom. You need to take care of yourself too though. If you give her everything you have, then you will never be able to save anything for your own retirement, and you'll be in worse shape financially than your mom. Have you asked her if she really needs the money? She may not even reallly need it.

I am in the SAME situation. My dad died when I was 4 and my mom got remarried a few times and divorced. When I was 12 she married a LOSER that has no ambition. I had to go to work when I was 15. He would take every extra dime I earned and would never pay me back (I had to pay rent and all, 50 a week). I am in my 20's now and I just put a stop to his mooching off of me. It has caused major problems with my mom because she wouldnt stick up for me.
I cant live my life trying to support their bad habits! I am trying to make a life of my own...I have never had extra money until now that I cut them off!! I can now start saving for my future.

How old are you?
if your mom doesnt have a husband I think it is fine to help :)

No its not wrong to give your mom money, but don't put your self out. Your mom will understand if you want to go out or if you want to buy something for yourself. Just make sure your mom has the bills paid and then ask her if next pay check can go to you. I sure she'll understand. Good Luck!!!

No it isn't incorrect for no longer keen to percentage "your" money consisting of your mom, and what she did changed into incorrect, she stole your money and lied to you about it. even although she raised you and spent way more beneficial than 100$ on your existence, it changed into her duty to take action as she is your mom. If she is in a monetary challenge she ought to ask you to "borrow" money and conceivable set it up so as that she supplies you pastime on the money she borrowed (contained in the top you get what you lent her and extra). as well each and each of the pieces suggested above she nevertheless stole your money and gave you an ultimatum of GIVING her 20 funds above what she stole. contained in the top she nevertheless took one hundred twenty funds from you, and in go back you only recieved 5/6 of what she took. SO your mom ought to go back each and each of the money she took and then ask you to borrow some, and in case you settle you could ask her if she needs to pay pastime or supply you something in go back.

I'm deeply sorry that your father has passed away, and I understand that you are trying to help your mother out-financially! Sometimes, I would get really frustrated because she keeps sticking her hand out, and I want to make sure that I have enough money to take care of my needs. Besides, its YOUR money and you're not obligated to give it to her.

No you shouldnt at all be obligated to give money to your mom. It was her decision to have you and raise you, and the goal when raising a child is to make them into a well rounded, smart, kind, and self suffiecient civillian. Apparently she did her job, and now it is your turn to support yourself and your family (or future family).
Raising your mom is not your responsibility. Save your money for when you have kids.

it's not wrong but i don't think you should give her all the extra money. help her out once and a while. buy stuff for yourself and your gf. start thinking about yourself. sometimes its ok to be selfish.
