i'm sick of all these politically correct hippy do gooding liberals.get over yourselves.if you don't discipline children they will grow up to be thankless, spoilt and disrespectful adults. my parents used to smack me - and i'm grateful to them for caring enough to discipline me and teach me not to get above myself, to learn respect for others feelings / property etc.obviously they never abused their position of responsibilty over me - they never beat me or anything like that , that is not what is being advocated here . this just shows the stupidity of these politically correct liberal types - they cant distinguish between a simple sharp smack and violent physical abuse . a curse on these types of people - i hold them responsible for many of the social ills our society now suffers ie; violent yobbery on the streets , youths attacking people and robbing them in broad daylight and so on and so on. you are all pathetic.!!!

I to dont think theres anything wrong with a smack as long as you dont loose control as this is where the smack could become more of a beating...
In todays day and age peeps moan about how young ones dont behave themselves.. when i was at school we got the cane and one teacher used to have the boys if naughty stood with their noses on a dot on the blackboard and at some point give them a clout around the head .. was there all these stabbings, muggings when i was a kid .. no there wasnt .. ..
Todays kids know every rule in the book, and working in a secondary school they need to be more discipline but the do gooders who dont have to put up with the cheek, violence etc wont allow any kind of punishments even detentions they have to have 2/3 days notice the world's gone mad...

i change into smacked as a toddler and it under no circumstances did me any damage. the computing gadget brigade are there implementing guidelines that are shown to be incorrect already. little ones years in the past were a lot more beneficial positive behaved than the asbo loving hoodies that roam the streets at evening now. isn't that data on my own that computing gadget bullshit doesn't paintings? As I stated i change into smacked as a toddler and grew to change right into a nicely rounded and knowledgeable man or woman. in my opinion I carry no animosity in direction of my moms and dads for practise me the variety between precise and incorrect. I hate to imagine what the destiny will carry through telling those who hitting little ones for any reason is inaccurate. i imagine hitting a toddler even as they throw stones at an previous guy is more beneficial than justified. the computing gadget human beings imagine that an hour on the naughty step will suffice.

Does hitting someone (even with an open hand) make you right? Does it prove that you are more intelligent, mature, worthy of respect? Is this how you would resolve a debate with another adult?
Or does it mean you are too dumb or short-tempered to be reasonable? If you have to resort to physical domiance, you've already lost the argument.
Please don't breed. Or take your aggressions out on other people and blame it on them.

I was smacked as a child and it never did me any harm? In fact I had a great deal of respect for my parents and that is sadly lacking in today's society.
If you look at nature programs, all mammals have some kind of 'smacking'

I agree. I'm sure if Fathers disiplined their children more they would be less yob culture. I know when I was at school I didn't dare step out of line for fear of what my Dad would do although i only ever remember being smacked once by him. That one time was enough!!!

Were you smacked as a child? If you have adult and parenting skills, you'd see that "smacking" isn't needed.
Sounds to me, that you have no business being around children. If your so gung hoe on smacking, stay the hell away from them.

Fair point. I was smacked around a lot as a kid and just as well otherwise Osama would have been NO competition for what I would have turned out to be.

I’m with you all the way there are too many do gooder’s trying to make us parent’s look and feel bad for smacking our children. If any of my children needs a quick sharp slap they get one, it never harmed me and it won’t harm them its called discipline.

Its not as if your really harming them is it I mean whats a smack ever done to you apart from making you feel like you've done something wrong!! which is what its supposed to mean!
