I am a Northwest German, so I drink Friesentee, which is a blend of about 80 % second flush Assam (indian black tea from the Assam region, taken from the second high-quality crop in June every year) and other teas from Java, Sumatra or Ceylon. Many various recipes are used to blend many various Friesenblends, and I have found my own blender in Germany who imports and blends himself.

It costs a bit of money, but I am forsaking other things to afford it, and I think it is worth it. Tea sold in America is a disgrace to the name tea (at least what I found in stores), and the coffee sold here can't compete with german blends either.

Tea. It has some nutritional value and doesn't give you bad breath. However, if I am on holiday abroad, or on a day out somewhere, I love to visit a cafe and had a latte or something with the rich smell of coffee in the air around me. Very relaxing. This is especially good around Christmas.

Just a cup of sweet Punjabi Tea (tea made with thick milk and sugar) after my morning breakfast and no more tea or coffee throughout the rest of the day.

I have to say I prefer Douwe Egberts Continental Gold, 3 heaped teaspoons, no milk or sugar. Although in the morning I have my 1 cup of tea before coffee as I can't face coffee as my first drink in the morning.

Green tea. Once in a while a coffee and if I must, when visiting Turkish friends, a black tea but all without sugar, which really freaks them out.
