nicely, you're making your own judgements. ask your self in case you truly imagine it changed into 50 for the completed time or did it steadily drop to 50 of the 8 hrs? The gentle definitely did not initiate at 50 yet at 34 and rose. bacteria are definitely recent yet likely no longer sufficient to damage you. the danger zone is between 40 levels F and one hundred forty levels F. although the USDA says that a product will be left out for 4 hrs without being cooled or heated and nonetheless be secure. It used to say 40 5 levels changed into secure till 1999. So, you've been slightly above the side yet for a continual era of time. it truly is likewise a sealed field with very minimum floor area publicity. The FDA instruments regulations way on the secure side. It does no longer mean that in case you do not stick with them then you honestly receives sick, it merely signifies that that's what you should do to stay as careful as we advise. Is all of this nicely worth a $3.25 gallon of milk. unlikely. yet i'd drink it and ensure that I did interior of a 2-3 days. yet once back. You way the opportunities and make your own determination. it gained't kill you, even though it can make you throw up or provide you diarrhea (chah, chah, chah).

The "danger zone" for food is in the 41-141 degree range. Because the milk definitely got warmer than 41 degrees during that 8 hours, consumption would be ill-advised. If you decide to keep it however, I'd recommend a nice spinach salad to go with it!

that would depend on the temp the milk got. I would smell it. You know alot of america is germaphobic and that is why we are all so sickly.. our body is able to handle many things... if it still smells fine and it has some chill left to it... Keep it. but if it is warm to touch throw it out ... also if it stinks throw it out.. But milk is not very costly so if u are in doubt.. throw it out..

Not necessarily, in the UK they bake pancakes with it. In Holland and Belgium they make a soft cheese with sour milk, in Germany they call it quark.
The thing you do then is hang it, when you know its sour, up in a cheese cloth and you really have a delicious treat.
Hopefully this brings you something.

I use this mantra for all food spoilage issues.
"If in doubt, throw it out"
Food poisoning is a very unpleasant illness and is not worth the few dollars you may throw out.
