It is legal to pour a bag of lime over him, to hasten decomposing, and eliminate the smell..You can get lime cheap at any feed store or buildning supply..

Yes bury him or take him to the vet to be disposed off. He's a health hazard and if you actually cared for the dog you'd sort it instead or leaving him to rot.

He must have been dead for a while if the buzzards got to him...

First of all I am sorry for the loss of your friend. It must have been very hard for you this past week, and then to find him in that condition. I would get a blanket and cover him. If this is too hard for you to do I would ask a friend or relative to help. Then out of respect he needs to be buried or taken to the vet where the vet will handle the cremation and save some of the ashes in an urn or a necklace for you. We have a special place in our yard where we have buried many pets and wild animals like birds over the years. There is a statue of St. Francis that watches over them. Hope this helps.

A week? Was he lost for a week? Of course you should bury him! If you actually need to ask, maybe you shouldn't own an animal. How would you feel if you were killed and your family had to ask, well, there are only pieces left - should I bury him/her? Come on, have a freakin heart!

Please send his remains immediately to a crematorium which specializes in animal burial. You can't just bury him anywhere, in the soil etc as this will cause unseen bacteria to the environment. Worse it may erupt into another kind of virus which can cause hazard to humans.

Wear gloves and put it in a plastic bag before sending for cremation, don't think too much.

Your dog will always has a beautiful memory of you and him together.

I am so sorry, Yes I would bury him. Just throw a trash bag over him or blanket and roll him in it. And bury him. I hate to hear of animals dying.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Burying him is up to you and your family, it depends on what sort of closure you and your loved ones need.

Ask each of the members what he or she wants and go decide from there. You might also just want to plant a flower, plant or tree honoring his memory.

Burying him is the right thing to do, however no one can make you do the right thing. That all depends on what type of person you are. So, what's it gonna be??

Oh No!!! Thats really awful.
If you can stomach it, i would bury him, just for peace of mind.
I wouldn't want my animal eaten. I'm sure a doggy has a soul to and would want to be rested. Good luck

So sorry for your loss. I think you should bury the remains if you can. Place him in his favorite blanket and place him in a place where you can visit. I would place flowers on the grave if I were you. I would be so upset if it were any of my three that had died.
