There's a difference between preaching and teaching. I suggest teaching rather than preaching, there's an understood element of judgement that comes with preaching, which is resented by non-christians. Think more about education of what Christianity is, and who Jesus is, rather than evangelizing. God will enter their hearts.

My excuse, why I don't preach ??? Because preaching should be done in the churches. If people want to be preached to, that's where they go.
No one has the " duty" to spread the word . The door bell ringers and the literature hander-outers turn more people away for religion than to religion.
Keep religion in the churches. The Germans have a saying. " als zu viel ist ungesunt " Too much of anything is unhealthy.

Have you wondered why no one answers their doors? Because your door-to-door religious solicitation is annoying and unwelcome! Same goes for the computerized version but hey no one can stop you if this is what you want to do.... just realize that being pushy about religion generally has the effect of turning people AWAY from it, not towards it.

We are all called to witness for God, I don't take that to mean that I need to knock on people's doors at 8AM on a Saturday morning.

I don't think that is effective.

We are to live God's example of Peace, Love, and Forgiveness. Others will notice if you are doing that and be drawn to you.

We must first be good examples.

Peace!

If I didn't would I have seen your question. As I defend the faith daily here on answers you step up and say I am not contending for the Faith... I guess I'll just let you keep that opinion and I'll trust God to know the truth.... Jim

How about not preaching, why don't you try that for a while? What if you don't have all the answers? Have you thought that perhaps people can do good things without sharing your religious beliefs? That perhaps your religious beliefs are tearing the world apart?

Isn't it amazing? Two thousand years ago they had to carry the gospel message down dusty roads from town to town.

Here we are in cyber space talking to people all over the world about the healing and transforming power of Jesus Christ, in an instant.

WOW!!!
