Yes and No, sometimes its good to try and impress her a little bit but dont go to far, as in verging on the point of trying to hard otherwise you'll seem like a player.

Actually you impress the girl the best if you act like you are not trying to impress her when in fact you are trying to impress her... such as acting cool with an indifferent attitude to her but with slight and apparent interest for others...
