Patchy Airspace Opacity is a fancy way of saying that, on the chest xray, there's something obscuring a portion of the lung in that area. Lingula is just a part of the lung next to the heart. It probably indicates that there's some kind of abnormality that is obstructing it, for example, the beginnings of a pneumonia is the most common cause. However, there are many things that can cause this and should be reviewed with an experienced physician.
