You can talk to the teacher about this and see what they recommend. However, one thing to consider is this: if a child thinks that mom will make everything all better for them, they will not try to figure out how to handle situations when mom is not there. So she doesn't like being in a tiny room. It isn't going to cause her harm.As she grows up she will be in many situations that she doesn't want to be in. Will you be there each and every time to bail her out? Would you even want to, or would you rather she learn to care for herself? Give her some guidance. Tell her it's OK. Pre-school is a good place for kids to learn socialization skill that they will use forever. But they do have to be taught.

well all i will say is children are only used to the things they've been taught at home but wen you take them out, getting the to socialised with different people it tends to build up there confidence, and make them more open and social with the rest of the crowd. you might think its a big lost now but just give her sometime she will come around, she is just not used to big crowd yet.

Ask them if they can do something special for your little girl during story time. Like another snack time or an activity until the story is over. good luck

Talk to the school, see if there's another solution. If there isn't, or if they're not willing to cooperate, check with the schoolboard to see if the school is allowed to have story-times in such small rooms.
If all else fails, take your kid out of that school and bring her to another.
