I have chicken marinating in the fridge for two or three days now. When do I have to cook it?

EDIT: I cooked it later in the day that I posted this question. It was delicious, I fed it to a few people (with a disclaimer, of course, which shows you how desirable this chicken was hehe), and everyone is perfectly healthy!
Thank you for all your advice.

after three days bacteria will form on the chicken which is harmful. after three days you should boil it then toss it in the trash. never throw bad raw chicken in the trash.

Is that poor bird alive in there?
I'd say that chicken lasts alot longer uncooked than cooked. Once you cook her, she's dead!
(seriously, 3 days is a little long - cook now)

About 3 to 5 days, open the package, take a wiff, it is smells ok, probably is. If the colouring is off or it smells nasty, its bad. Technically if you heat the chicken throughly (to 160 degrees F) then it kills off all bacteria and is ok to eat.... but I dont think i would take a chance with that, if it smells funky, its funky...

When marinating, it lasts longer.
But I would say that 2-3 days is more than sufficient time for marinating, particularly for poultry (that's the max I do for poultry, some roasts though I will marinate up to 8 days, ie. sauerbraten) Cook it tonight, I bet it'll taste great!

It would be in the garbage already. Never marinate poultry more than overnight. Beef can go for 24 hours. The proteins start to break down. ROT.

You need to cook it asap. Raw chicken is not something to play around with. YOu know, you can freeze it in the marinade...info for next time :)

Was it frozen before or fresh if frozen i would only keep it in the refrigerator 24 h.(so put it in the trash)
if it was fresh look at the packet that says sell buy(sometimes its a week or two good in the refrigerator----marinated i wouldn`t keep it longer in, then 24 h after that sell buy date.
