does it count for piercings??? i dont have a passport!

it usually does but they may be looking for photo id. you could try taking as much id with you as possible. maybe your birth cert and a bank statement. up where i am as my daughter was only 16 the shop phoned and asked me if it was ok for her to get her piercing done.

It only counts as ID in conjunction with something else that will prove it is yours. It is good enough to get you ID though. You can pick up a proof of age form from most off licences or the post office and send it off with a copy of your birth cert. Then you will have photographic ID without the cost of a passport. They are normally pretty quick too.

Some places will accept this as proof of ID, it depends what it is used for. A passport is usually accepted more widely

I would be very amazed if it did count - when I used to go to nightclubs (mmmmffffhhh) years ago, even the bouncers would not accept a birth certificate as proof of age!!!

I think these days you need something with your photograph on ,most places ask for a passport or driving licence.

Yes it should do. Thats why people ask for them as a form of identification. Photo I.D, I assume is preferred nowadays though
