I have known this guy for about 8 years but we really haven’t been in each other lives that often he was kind of a friend of a friend but we recently just got back in each other lives on a kind of dating thing nothing too serious!
Anyways when we were younger like between the ages of (14-17) he broke my heart by asking to be with me one day and a few weeks later never call me back! I mean I wasn’t crying over him because I was young and I would just get over it. Or really didn’t think too much of it! But I did care about him because even though he would come in and out my life I still knew he was a good guy and one day we would get it right! I know I didn’t make the situation any better because I wouldn’t call him back or even ask about him ( I had too much pride then and maybe he did too)
Now we are in our early 20's and he has been back in my life for about a few weeks now everything is all good but he wants a relationship (not really right now)I'm kind of hesitant..am I stupid

Your being stupid if you think that any thing good is going to happen with him when he says he wants a relationship with you but not right now. If he can't be in a real relationship with you right now then you should keep this to a strictly friendship basis, no kissing, no hand holding, and no sex. If you allow this to be anything more than just friends before he is willing to be in a relationship you will get hurt and probably never have a chance at a relationship together.

what's stupid about taking your time ??whats stupid about paying attention to your intuition that 's causing you to hesitate ?all these sound good to me.take your time and see the possibilities clearly,don't make the situation as you wish it to be,see it as it is.you sound sensible so take it slow.
