I've bought some dried sweet potatoes and I was wondering if it's okay to eat them when I'm on a healthy diet. I'm not trying to lose weight but rather to decrease the fat around my stomach by eating well and exercising.

They are a good sourse of minerals and vitamins, but one thing you have to watch out with when eating a yam or sweet potato, is the sugar content in them. A regular potato has less sugar in then the sweet.
Peace, live well and happy:;)

Sure, but make try to stay away from the stuff in the cans & don't load it up with butter & sugar. In addition to the various nutrients, they're also an excellent form of complex carbohydrates (the good carbs).

If you exercise regularly, then you can eat anything (even cakes and cookies are fine in limited quantities). So, sweet potatoes are natural product, enjoy them - I do!
