There's no excuse for improper spelling here. Also, you're typing on a keyboard, not text messaging. It's not too much harder to type "your" instead of "ur", the shift key for capitalization isn't a big stretch, and punctuation is right at your fingertips.

The good lord gave us "Check Spelling" for a reason. Can I get an amen!

Yahoo! should also have a "your" vs. "you're", "to" vs. "too" vs. "two", "lose" vs. "loose", and "its" vs. "it's" button.

OH YES, AND USERS WHO DO THIS SHOULD BE BANISHED.

Spelling is one in all my few reliable factors yet I continuously use the spell verify merely in case. I choose better human beings may use it. that is totally off-putting once you word a post with a string of spelling mistakes. Why make your self look stupid even as all you should do is click on "verify spelling"? I understand that for some human beings English isn't their prevalent language or maybe even as they use spell verify they'd be uncertain of which note to replace.

I agree with you for the most part, and ascribe it to both being lazy or trying to be 'cool'. I do understand that some people are not good at spelling or grammar, and others are not good at using a computer. However, this began years ago with the stupid LOL and that type of jargon and people have gotten progressively worse. Indians are supposed to speak English but it would be difficult to guess that. But you are nit-picking...how can we expect people with IQs of less than -12 to be able to switch on a computer, dribble saliva over the keyboard, hunt and peck illiterate messages of trash and bigotry to be able to use spell-checker? Do they still teach teach the three Rs in school? I live in China and have many Chinese friends and I am embarassed to show them this site because they can't understand the 'English'! I hate to tell you but your plea is in vain, but you fought a good fight! I suspect as time moves on, we will be down to a monosyllabic language of grunts and by computer it will be a variety of duhs.

I agree with you. No excuse for improper spelling.
To me it is being lazy for example to type "ne1" for anyone. Having said that, we should not banished anyone for that.

I agree......My son can only spell using the words he would normally use in a text message.

The English language is going out of the window.

I feel sorry for all the English teachers in this country. What a job they've all got on their hands.

I use my check spelling all the time. You must be a teacher, why else would you be so upset about this?
