it sounds like it could have possibly been a seizure. you should see your doctor. the bad news is, many of the tests they will perform will not show that you actually had a seizure if there has been no residual damage. the good news is, it sounds like you're okay, which means there's not much they will be able to do for you at this point. but go to the doctor and get it documented in your medical record, that way if it happens again they can try to determine if there is a pattern and figure out the cause of the episode to treat and prevent future episodes.

I would say it certainly sounds like seizure like activity, especially behaving in a post ictal fashion after all the shaking and moaning. My concern would be what your blood sugar was at the time if you are diabetic, it could have been brought on by a sugar that was dangerously high, in which case you are lucky you did not die. It is past time to see your doctor about this.

I would think that if something like this happened to you, you certainly wouldn't be taking the time to ask Yahoo Answers, but that you'd be contacting your physician, especially if you're diabetic!!

This is very serious and nothing to be played with.
What happens if you just depend on our opinions, and neglect seeing your physician, have another attack and it's more devastating then the first one???

Never wait when there is a medical issue, and never depend on the advice of others..
Please call and make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible...

Sincerely..........

sounds a lot like a seizure...you should talk to your doctor and find out. (you can call the dr.'s office and ask to speak to a triage nurse...she will tell you if you need to go in or not.) Good Luck and Take care!
