I met my boyfriend when he was on holiday in London, England. He's an American Citizen and I'm a British Citizen. He wants to move to England but I have no idea how to go out about this. Has anyone ever succesfully pulled this off? Thanks.

Oh I wish I could edit instead of adding details, but I should put it all on at the same time. Sorry.

We've been together over a year now and see each other every three months in either London or America.

I was in a relationship with an American citizen who lived in Germany. She wanted me to change my citizenship so i could live over there with her. Sometimes you have to decide if drastically changing your life is worth it. I decided not to, mostly because it would have been impossible, but also because it just really wasn't what i wanted. The most important thing is to think about the situation as REAL life. If you are thinking of this as a fairytale, or romance movie, you are going to get stuck somewhere and be SOL. Weigh the pro's and con's. Just remember, an easy way to keep it real is to list all the negative possibilities that could happen to you. be smart.

I would suppose you're pretty young, so you should really take this relationship as it was. A holiday fling. I mean you'll find a lot more guys later on who live near you and you wont be missing on anything that big by breaking up with the english guy. A long distance relationship is a hard one to work out, especially if you wont be seeing that often nor wont have anything to look forward to (such as moving together to an aparment of your own when you both graduate or something). You can try to make it work ofcourse, but I'd bet you'll end up making a mistake.

I pulled that off :) I am from South East Asia, my husband from Canada and we are just married. It takes alot though. One fo you have to have a good income to pull through OR you gotta have a very very good planning.Do not rush into things.Think twice, three times before you commit because it is not easy. You can't just survive with love and lvoe alone.Good luck to you guys.

It is defiantly possible, but timing is everything. It depends on how long he plans to be away, if its too long, you both might end up moving on with out each other. Then you end up losing all that time you were waiting!

I know lots of people that tried. You never know. You all could be the 1 out of a million.
