Yes it does. First name matters because if you cant see yourself screaming it out in a fit or anger or passion that will be a problem and the last name matters because it could have a harmful impact on any children.

I had to grin a bit when I read your question because after my divorce , I would turn down dates with men whose name was the same as my ex's. Even if they were the most hottest, nicest, men on the planet...no chance if their name was the same LOL. But seriously, if the name bothers you, turn him down. If not, then go for it.
