No but the media sure doesn't want to show a bunch of fit individuals while talking about an obesity epidemic. The one thing not mentioned by most of these lovely health stats and comparisons is that the criteria is different from country to country and that in the US it was a recent change. Let's face it we Americans are bit pigheaded when it comes to what we want we want. So when all the health government Nazi words were being ignored they petitioned some like minded individuals in government and they had the requirement numbers for obesity changed. And so overnight thousands upon thousands of people went from being okay to being obese by government standards.

I wouldn't say *all*. I'm not fat, my husband's not fat. But yea there are alot, it's something like 60% overweight and 40% of them are obese. But what's even scarier are the kids. I haven't seen a skinny kid in weeks.

No, of course we're not all fat, but we are the fattest in the world. Britain, Canada, and Australia are not far behind, though, so don't let them give you any crap about it. Them calling us fat is like Mussolini calling Hitler a fascist.

Guess it depends on your fat standard.....some of the "ideal weight for each height" charts I've seen are pretty ridiculous, must date back to days before supermarkets (I've seen one chart that said that I, at 72" tall and 200 lbs. weight, should only weight 160!)

I think about 70% of Americans are overweight. It's striking when you go to France. You can tell the foreigners--they're the chubby ones.
