It looked to me similar to Jihad kids schools in the Middle East.

I'm sorry to answer your question so late.
Ya I saw her. I didn't get enough details from the broadcast to comment on her. But I didn't see anything wrong with praying for the president or the kids crying as they prayed to God for the sins of their country or themselves.
It's called repentance. Being truly sorry for our sin and then turning from it.
