When you dye your hair so dark you cant go lighter unless you bleach it out or put a few highlights in and it will eventually keep getting lighter depending on if your hair was colored before you dyed it black, it will probably fade to a dark brown after you keep washing it for a couple of days. Or try stripping your hair but i would'nt recomend that.

I dyed my hair black last year (it was a light brown) and I tried waiting and redying it and nothing worked. Finally it started growing out and the roots looked so horrible I had to go to the salon and get them to strip the color and then redye it as close to my natural color as they could get. I believe it ended up costing me around 300 bucks! I would try to go to a beauty supply store and see if there is anything you can do-those people usually know a lot more than you think!

Do not re-dye your hair! Most often, black died hair may turn out greenish if redyed and your hair will loose it's healthy look. You should ask advice at more then one beauty salon. Just be careful next month!

I like black hair.
But that aside most of your hair is a non-living tissue that cannot rejuvenate. Avoid redying if you can because you may get the color you want in exchange for weak and dry textured hair that is more prone to splitting and breaking off.

you could re dye it but its not going to lift any lighter cause once you color your hair it doesn't lift any more so best bet is either to strip it out or to wait till it fades and recolor it about the same level it faded to.

Yeh that sucks..but I believe they have a solution that washes that last hair colour out so you can start over. I think even walgreens sells it. Hair colour isn't permanant

YOU COULD TRY ANTI DANDRUFF SHAMPOO AS THIS IS QUITE HARSH AND WASHES COLOUR OUT. CAN YOU AFFORD A TRIP TO THE SALON TO PUT THIS RIGHT? IF NOT WAIT AT LEAST 6 WEEKS. OTHERWISE YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR HAIR.

you would have to bleach it. most colors cant lift color. Let it fade and go to a salon. Good luck
