I was canning salsa and didn't wear gloves (stupid, I know) and then I rubbed my nose. OW! I have washed with soap and water, tried aloe vera and hydrocortisone. Still burning!!! Help please!

Gently rubbing white distilled or cider vinegar on the burn will take some of the fire out. You can also reapply it as often as you want. I know it sounds awful, but it works - if you are still at the fire stage, you'll try pretty much anything. I know because I, too have made myself practically burst into flame while making my husband's favorite Mexican dish. ;) Have you tried applying A&D ointment? That should help also. Take care, and I hope you find something that works!

Put some milk on it. Yogurt may stick better. But be sure you don't get more "burn" on your nose from your hands... wear gloves to put on the yogurt/milk.
