The boric acid solution is great! I know that the thought of putting anything with the word "acid" in your eyes sounds horrible but it is the most soothing solution there is! If it doesn't help within two days though, you should see a doctor. Remember to to wash your hands reguarlily as pink eye is extremely contagious.

You can try a weak tea of eyebright (an herb). Just bring 1 pint of water to a boil, add 1 oz eyebright (in a muslin bag or tea bag), turn off the heat and let it steep for 10 minutes. Strain WELL! Use a sterile eyedropper or an eyecup and apply every few hours. If you don't see results the next day, go see an MD.

Lisa is correct. You need to see a doctor. If you have an optometrist they can normally prescribe an antibiotic eye drop for you. Your family care physician would also be able to prescribe one, they might not even need to see you. Warm compresses will help with the matter. Pink eye is contagious so just practice good hand washing and that will keep it from spreading.

I'm not sure their are any. I have had it twice. Instead of going to the Dr. I went to my optometrist and he gave my eye drops. It only took about five days to go away, and your eyes feel better just as soon as you put the first drops in. Also it may not be pink eye. I thought I had it again but it was a viral infection. Again the optometrist gave me drops. Not the same ones as for pink eye.

Use salt and warm water. First boil water in a pot to sterilize the pot, then pour that water out. Next ,put salt and cold water in the same pot and let it boil. When it is cool enough ( not cold ), wash your eyes with the water, let a little water actually get in your eyes. This should help.
