you might try to wash it with dawn or a grease breaking dishwashing liquid, just make sure to was hwith regular shampoo and / or condition afterwards so your hair wont feel like straw or smell like Dawn!

I did this with my girls . I left a bit of the greasy feeling in their hair after washing and put it i a tight bun- this made it not look so bad and also repelled the lice for a couple of days.

When I'm working on cars quite often I get quite a bit of grease in my hair. This is how I remove it without much fuss:
Wet hair and remove excess water (I wring my hair just like wringing a towel). Pour apple cider vinegar into hair and rub in very well, leave in for 5 min. When putting vinegar in your hair be very careful not to get in your eyes because it will sting very badly if you do (see vinegar note below). Rinse very well. Shampoo twice and then condition. Rinse. If your hair still feels a little greasy use some more vinegar, leave in 3 min. Rinse very well.
I don't use Dawn in my hair because it makes my scalp feel like it is burning. If you don't have apple cider vinegar you can use white vinegar instead.
About the vinegar:
I manage to keep it from getting in my eyes most of the time by leaning my head way back and begin pouring as close to the hairline as possible without it running down my face. Keeping my head tilted back I work the vinegar in just like conditioner all over my head.
If you do get it in your eyes immediately rinse your eyes in the shower with them closed but not extremely tight, the water will need to be able to get in to wash the vinegear out. The eyes are closed so the running water from the shower won't damage the cornea of your eyes. Make sure you use some eyewash and eyedrops right after your shower.

For nits the best bet is to use mayo. Smear it on thick and leave it for a few hours (yes hours) and then use a special nit comb to remove them all. I got this from our pediatrician after trying the special shampoo 4 times with no luck. The mayo worked like a dream and both kids had the softest hair the next day.

Then try a shampoo for oily hair. I bet the Dawn dish detergent would work great too.

Just remember that lice and such love clean hair, it's easier for them to hold on to clean hair.

Olive oil will not cure nets. You need to pick them off each strand of hair section by section and check each day until they are gone. It is an timeless job but someone has to do it.

To get rid of the film of your hair you need either baby shampoo, tide, or dish detergent because they have a high pH level. Then use a good conditioner

GOOD LUCK

This may sound weird but trust me...wash your hair with dawn twice to cut through all the olive oil and then wash with your regular shampoo and use only a small amount of conditioner and rinse it fast...good luck and next time to comb out the knots just use some johnson's detangler it works in adults hair too I have very long hair and it works for mine...

The olive oil trick does work, but it's tough to get it all out. Just use your regular shampoo and repeat it a few times until your hair feels clean again.

Try a clarifying shampoo. Oh, and if you have any more probems with nits..........coat your hair in Vaseline, put it in a shower cap and let is sit for about 12 hours. That has been known to suffocate lice.
