If your eating many sweets, then u must have lots of money , so please give some to me, or save some of the money for the false teeth u will need in the future, because all them sweets u eat, made ur teeth bad.

Hi,

I understand what you are saying but you are young and it is important you look after yourself now for the future. If you damage your body now by eating too many bad foods like sweets then you may have problems later on in your life.

Of course you should be able to eat sweets sometimes as a treat, but make sure you are getting a balance by eating lots of fruit and vegetables as well.

Listen to your mum - she knows best!

Ive eaten too many sweets since I was about 10 and got pocket money, its just something you kids do! Make you sure you brush your teeth real good twice / 3 times a day and you shouldnt have a problem. Oh, those sweets you suck for a long time, like boiled sweets, stuff like that? They will harm your teeth if you eat too many but I reckon youre OK. Keep up the exercising! :O) Bex

Mom's try to get their kids in healthy eating habits, because right now what you do will make your habits for later in life. When you are not doing so much excercising. Plus you have other aspects, like the care of your teeth, in which sweets aren't so wonderful. And my question to you is are you ruining your appetite for dinner with the sweets, because maybe that is what is ticking mom off the most. She cooks a big dinner and you are not eating it as she would like.

even if you aren't overweight now you can quickly become that way if you aren't careful, and maybe you have some genetic predisposition for it.. your mom would know your family history better than you.. also it taxes your system.. if you have type 2 diabetes in your family you shouldn't press your luck.. .... next, she doesn't want you to develop an unhealthy eating habit now that you will probably still have later in life when you don't work out as much and your metabolism is slower, which would cause you to gain too much weight for sure.. also, she probably doesn't want you to ruin your dinners .. and finally, because too many sweets can be bad for your teeth and she probably doesn't want to have to pay for your fillings if there is no need for them... so in summation.. listen to your mother, she's been around for a lot longer than you and she knows what she is talking about.

I used to be the same exact way, I could eat all the sweets I wanted and never gained weight.

The bad thing about that is.....a high sugar diet can cause an overgrowth of yeast in your intestinal tract. If this happens, youll be very sick. Yeast feeds off of sugar. This happened to me, and Im having a really hard time just getting thru each day.

You need to slow it down a bit, if not, youll regret it. Sugar is also related to alot of cancers.

You need to think about the long term effects of eating too much sugar, which is what your Mum is doing. If we eat more sugar than our bodies can use as energy it is stored on us a s fat, also, sugar is really really bad for your teeth. You don't ever want to have dentures eh? No one should ever need to have flase teeth it is just bad diet that makes them rot.

So what is a lot of sweets???? Are we talking a dozen "Scooter Pies" and a bushel of Carmel's at one time? Probably at your age the biggest concern would be from a dental point of view, cavities!!!!! If your acing your dental exams, then you might ask your mom if she's a little bit jealous that she can't join you in your sweet frenzy...

yes, you are eating too many sweets. try some fruit or something instead of candy. You'll have a lot more energy and feel better than putting all that bad stuff in your body.

Sweets are bad for you. Weight is only one small factor in how healthy a persan is. You are poisoning yourself with sugar, colourings, flavourings and all sorts of other nasty chemicals that sweets contain. Listen to your mum, only have as many as she thinks is OK.
