u will nonever have religious wars, gay & lesbian struggels, racial struggles, pro life versus pro abortion, terrorism, etc etc. borg live as drones, working in harmony as 1 collective. we have the utimate utopia society. what do u reckon?

Well, if you could have every one working for a collective good, but still involve free will so that they were doing it because they actually wanted to, and take out the whole hostile take-over of other people, you might be on to something.

oh- the cyber-outfits would have to go too.

The expense of borg society is the sacrifice of individual creativity. "Your cultural and technological distinctiveness will become our own."

Now, if you could give me the interconnectedness with others that the borg have, without the collective mind thing, I'd be all for it. Imagine with a thought being able to convene a quick meeting with the great minds of the day and coordinating their knowledge and experience directly in your own projects. In short, pool the knowledge and leave the consciousness separated. We would all have access to the whole sum of human knowledge and experience but still be able to view the world through our own particular subset.

This would be the ideal society. Empathy and information exchange perfected while maintaining individual quality of life would be utopia.
