The answer is contained in the prison statistics for the USA. Christians make up about 75% of the US population and 75% of the US prison population. No big surprise there.

Atheists, on the other hand, make up about 10% of the US population... but they make up only 0.2% of the US prison population. Now, isn't THAT a surprise? That means that atheists are FIFTY (50) times LESS LIKELY to be incarcerated than Christians. Pretty strange, huh, for a group that has no god-given guiding moral principals?

I can think of only two possibilities that might reasonably be said to account for this discrepancy:

1. Atheists are of a higher ethical and moral caliber than Christians, and thus are less prone to do the same kinds of nasty things that land so many Christians in the slammer;

OR,

2. Atheists are, overall, a lot smarter than Christians and thus, they are less likely to get caught in the course of their transgressions.

It's GOT to be one or the other... take your pick.

It certainly has nothing to do with church attendance, New England and many states in the U.S. north have high church attendance and low crime rates. Countries of the world, and states in the U.S. with low crime have something in common, do you know what it is? I don't think you will bother to find out, you're only a normal Christian-basher retard.

Because they're Scandinavian. It doesn't have anything to do with church attendance. The Soviet Union had a very high crime rate but also had very low church attendance and athieism was forced on the people. Why?

There was also a lot of violence against Muslims in Mosques burned in Scandinavian countries after the film producer was killed by Muslims, yet relatively low violence against Muslims and no Mosques burned in the U.S. after 9-11-01. Why?

Many of my relatives are from Sweden and Norway. They have moved here because they feel social issues are deep.

But they tend to be family oriented and not glued to TVs and such...they are out and about doing things.....lived there for a while and surprisingly at that time in the 80's....TV actually went of the air for a while each night....and fairly early....answers may not always be simple...

Maybe they have learned to follow the Golden Rule (do no harm to others...). A person doesn't need to attend church to get that message...

They don't have ghettos....They don't have poor people, because social programs are just awesome there. However, income taxes are huge. That's why there are not many rich people, but also no poor people, like i said. And poverty breads crime.
