I sure hope no one at the church said anything of that sort to you!! If a child of yours sat on a chair in you house and it broke would you hate that child? Of course not your first concern would be - was the child hurt. I sincerely hope you were not hurt physically or emotionally by this event!

You need to attend church more often if your asking this... but the answer is no. besides breaking a chair is not a sin of any kind.. but I could think of one related to this that I'm sure you could figure out.
