I think I would go on to find someone who acts as mature as you. Dating someone who makes me feel I'm dating my brother would definitely be a turn off for me. I get where you are coming from! Most guys mature so much slower than girls, so its hard to date younger guys because it makes it that much worse. I would just tell him you don't see it working out, and tell him straight out how you feel.
I'm not saying go out with a much older guy either, I just think you should keep your eye on a guy who at least acts 16, not 12!
Take care and Good luck!

I agree that you should go to the school and tell them about the knife and mention your daughter's relationship with him and that you plan on breaking it off. You don't want this punk to start making stuff up about your daughter or trying to put some false blame on her. If the school administration understands the situation before all that happens, there would be no needles suspicion of your daughter at school. I don't know what attracted her to this looser to begin with, but its not a good idea for her to continuing seeing this guy. She should realize this guy is trash, and even though it may not be all his fault, there's no reason why she should be running a looser outreach program. Make sure your daughter knows why you want the relationship cut off, let her know he's no good for her, he could get her in trouble, this guy has no future, etc. There are so many reasons why he is bad news, and she shouldn't have anything to do with him. She's probably going to say she hates you, cries, throws tantrums, but you have to do your job as a parent and realize that although parents need to love their kids, they can't be the kid's buddy, parents have to be the grown ups for their children. I do however disagree you forbid her from seeing anyone until she is 18. Hopefully her taste in guys will better, but if you refuse her to have a boyfriend until she is 18, that's needless drama and that's too much of an extreme. If she's out with a good guy who will treat her right, that could actually help her and she could loose interest in the trash she was formerly into.

Leave him alone. But you will not find any mature guys at your age. If you are a mature 16 y/o, and want a mature guy, look for older guys. They may be more on your level. There is absolutely no reason that you should feel bad about anything when in a good relationship. Keep that in mind. :)

To have a younger bf is not wrong or bad, age doesn't matter.the most important thing is that when you 2 together, do you feel happy and secure ?But if you r more mature, which make you feel like dating a younger brother, then maybe not so nice, cos girls must feel protected when with you man, so you know best how you feel and what you are going to do .Don't worry, you are still very young, still a long way for you in love life .

Well, depending on your maturity and what you want and what he wants is what is important. Girls usually mature faster than boys and he might just not be on that level yet. Work with him on it but if yall just cant agree on things try dating an older boy. No need in just being in it for him, its about YALL....

yeah you shoul be honest , it is true that women mature faster than man but that doesnt mean youre going to go out with a 20 year old guy also.
i mean you can tell if he acts like kid and acts stupid like the guys on jackass, yeah be honest and let him know,
but give him a chance if you like him, if not just be straight out and dump him.

There's nothing wrong with it! But if you feel that uncomfortable with him then you shouldn't be together! When you date someone you should feel comfortable and be able to share anything with that person.

no it is not a bad thing...it is not like you are his teacher and you are in your 20's and he is 15...you both are around the same age...it is perfectly normal...there is nothing wrong with what you are doing
