I have 3 dogs a Rott/lab mix, a pit/chihuahua mix, and a beagle/collie/jack russel mix. They are all older dogs and are all rescue dogs. My pit mix just started this today she won't leave my side, she is guarding her food, they all have their own bowls and will not go to the others bowl, they play fine together. They are all fixed so I know it has nothing to do with being in season. They have been together for a very long time. It isn't that I have a passion for aggressive dogs it is I have a passion for all animals and if I can help rescue them then I will. I just need some suggestions on how to stop her from doing this.

Since your dog is older, you have had her for some time, and she has never exhibited this behavior before, you should have her checked by her vet. Odd and sudden behavior changes are often indicative of a health problem. The vet should do blood work, not just a physical.
