Like my friend said. I try to manipulate other peoples thinking too. But where most people manipulate other peoples thinking, to have control over others. We manipulate other peoples thinkng, so they can have more control over themselves.

Manipulators use emotion to get a good solid grip on people. Whining is just another emotional tool.
The worse people are the enablers who let them get away with it.

You know this reminds me of what I learned in a Psychology class. We tend to give ourselves situational excuses for things that we may do wrong, and yet for the same action we attribute it directly to someone else's personality.
Unless your talking more about persuasion than manipulation.
