probably broke your rib or just bruised a muscle bad enough to make it hurt when you breath. but there probably are not too many doctors hanging out on this site so you will probably get a bunch of b.s. opinions but i would think that if you punctured your lung you would have been down untill the ambulance got there. you cant breath with a punctured lung!!!

You should go to the ER. You do have symptoms because you wrote that your chest hurts when you breathe. That's your body telling you that there is an injury. It could be more ribs than lungs. They will do xrays to determine the cause of the pain. GO!!!!!!

If it was something serious you would be spitting out blood. You may have a fractured rib, or whip lash but I suggest getting a check up if you are having the pain for more than three days.

If you had blunt force trauma to your chest, there is always a chance, but I doubt it. Your chest is protected pretty well. You probably just have muscle pain and / or bone bruise.

Probably a cracked or bruised rib.
If the pain is severe or continues, seek medical assistance immediately.

The only person who can answer that for sure is a doctor who has examined you. Go to hospital!
I hope you feel better.
