I would prefer poor with time for my family. This is actually an issue at my house. My husband works a lot so that we can have nice things but I would rather he work less and we do without all the extras.

Poor with family and friends. No contest. But that's not to ignore the fact that being poor, really poor, is no fun at all. Economic level affects health, education, the types of jobs one can take, and the quality of life one can provide for family.
I'd love to be really rich someday. My wife and I would have a ball putting a fortune to great use.

i think I'd be unhappy if I was really poor, I mean really poor like no shoes or I had to sell my soul to buy a bowl of rice. That would be awful! But if I was poor and could still eat and have a home (of some sort) and afford medicine than that would be ok.
Being lonely is the worst feeling, lonely, hungry & cold. That is bad. In fact I'm starting to depress myself!!
All the best!

Right now I'm poor with family and friends, and I like it. I can see at some point in my life, when I'm a good bit older, preferring rich and alone.

I would prefer to be rich in the spirit of the Lord and poor in finances with family than rich and alone. No matter how bad things have gtten financially I van thank the Lord I have my family and the church body that I share my faith with. It may not always be easy but it is fullfilling. I will pray for you to find consolation in the spirit of the Lord.

Poor with family and friends, cus if you are around people you love, then you are rich. Also, you can make your own money, even if you don't have anything at all. You just have to start at the bottom and work your way up.

Poor but with rich and generous friends to sponge off... hahaha.
Seriously though the only reason why I would like more money is to be able to do more fun things with my friends and family (like taking my mates on holiday) so money would be no use without friends.

Rich with family and friends. To be rich doesn't mean being alone. To be poor doesn't mean you have family and friends.

Ive had a taste of poor and now I'm doing real well, but money isnt everything. I would take the poor in America, because we have medicade and food stamps etc. for the poor.

Definitely rich and alone. Money sure takes the sting out of poverty and I've found, as I get older, people are generally over rated. Cynical perhaps, but that's how I feel.
